Overview

Aviva is undergoing an exciting period of strong growth as a result of its continued focus on strategic projects and acquisitions. As a result, we have an exciting opportunity for a Legal Counsel to join the UK Employment Team. You will be joining a committed and caring team who are tasked with delivering first class employment law advice to our broad range of internal stakeholders.

Responsibilities

  • Providing legal advice on all aspects of employment law as part of the Employment Law team
  • Supporting on legal initiatives and projects (including oversight and advice on key legislative and common law developments affecting the business)
  • Proactively monitoring and mitigating legal risks

Qualifications

  • A qualified Legal Executive or Solicitor, entitled to practice in the UK with relevant post-qualifying experience
  • Proven ability to work with people at different levels
  • Excellent oral and written communication and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent attention to detail and strong organisational skills
  • Ability to use initiative, work efficiently and prioritise multiple tasks
