A bit about the job: You’ll underwrite and grow profitable Engineering business, helping customers protect their equipment, plant and operations with cover that genuinely works for them. You’ll join a supportive engineering underwriting team that partners closely with brokers, risk engineers and account managers to shape clear, practical solutions. The role exists to strengthen our specialist Engineering portfolio by making confident, timely decisions and offering straightforward technical support when it’s needed. You’ll play a key part in improving how we work, contributing to projects and helping us deliver good customer outcomes every day. Your work will help customers feel protected and reassured, knowing they have the right engineering cover in place.
Skills and experience we’re looking for:
- Experience in Engineering underwriting or another relevant technical insurance discipline.
- Strong decision‑making skills within set authority levels.
- Ability to analyse technical information and assess engineering‑related risks.
- Confident communicator who can build strong relationships with brokers and customers.
- A continuous improvement mindset and interest in developing specialist expertise.
