We’re looking for a motivated Associate Data Science & AI Designer to join our growing platform team. You’ll contribute to the development of modern architectural patterns and cloud-native solutions that enhance our Data Science and AI capabilities. A solid understanding of cloud architecture and AI/ML services (preferably AWS) is essential.
A bit about the job:
As an Associate Designer, you’ll work closely with development teams to define and implement architecture patterns aligned with enterprise and Aviva standards. You’ll collaborate across technology and cloud teams, supporting the delivery of secure, scalable solutions that drive positive customer outcomes.
Skills and experience we’re looking for:
- Strong knowledge of Data Science & AI tools (e.g., Dataiku, AWS SageMaker, AWS Bedrock).
- Proficiency in AWS cloud services.
- Good understanding of DevOps, AIOps, and MLOps principles.
- Experience designing and implementing CI/CD pipelines using tools like Azure DevOps and Jenkins.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot complex issues.

- Starting salary between 35k-45k (Bristol/Norwich) 45k-55k (London) (depending on location, skills, experience, and qualifications)
- Bonus opportunity – 8% of annual salary Actual amount depends on your performance and Aviva’s.
- Generous pension scheme – Aviva will contribute up to 14%, depending on what you put in.
- 29 days holiday plus bank holidays, and you can choose to buy or sell up to 5 days
