A bit about the job:
- You’ll help our Customer & Marketing team use data safely and responsibly, making sure we protect our customers while supporting innovation and growth.
- As the go‑to person for privacy, you’ll work closely with marketing, data and technology teams to give clear, practical advice on how we use customer data.
- You’ll support impact assessments, keep our data processing records up to date, and guide decisions on campaigns, customer journeys and new tools.
- You’ll also review how platforms and suppliers use data, help resolve privacy queries or incidents, and keep our policies and notices accurate.
- Working with colleagues across Aviva, you’ll help us manage risk, share best practice and deliver customer experiences that are both innovative and compliant.
Skills and experience we’re looking for:
- Experience in a data privacy or data protection role, with a strong understanding of UK GDPR and related regulations.
- Practical experience completing DPIAs and managing data processing records.
- Ability to turn complex regulatory requirements into clear, practical guidance.
- Strong stakeholder management skills, with confidence working with commercial teams.
- Ideally holds (or is working towards) a CIPP/E qualification, with experience in marketing technology, CRM systems or a regulated industry.

- Starting salary circa £65k (depending on location, skills, experience, and qualifications).
