This is a great job for someone who lives and breathes cybersecurity engineering and wants to make a real impact. If you're an experienced security engineer who knows Microsoft Defender for Endpoint inside out - and you love using automation, scripting and smart engineering to solve complex problems - this role is for you. You'll enjoy working with modern security tooling, building scalable detection capabilities and helping our SOC and Cyber teams stay one step ahead.
A bit about the job:
- You'll join our Security Engineering team as a go-to expert for Microsoft Defender for Endpoint and the wider Microsoft 365 Defender/XDR suite.
- Your work will shape how we protect Aviva's devices and people - creating secure, resilient and scalable platform capabilities.
- This isn't an operational SOC role. It's hands-on engineering: managing the platform, building automation, enhancing detection, and integrating modern tooling to strengthen our security posture.
- You'll help us spot threats earlier, respond faster and continuously improve how we defend our organisation.
Skills and experience we're looking for:
- Strong experience in cybersecurity with a focus on endpoint security engineering.
- Deep expertise in Microsoft Defender for Endpoint and the Microsoft 365 Defender/XDR suite.
- Hands-on policy deployment experience through Intune/MDM.
- Experience using KQL and building Custom Detections.
- Strong scripting skills in PowerShell, Bash or Python.
What you'll get for this role:
Our purpose - with you today, for a better tomorrow - is a promise we make to our colleagues too. And one of the ways we live up to that promise is by investing in you. We have so much to offer when it comes to being an Aviva colleague.
