Are you someone motivated by improving data at scale and influencing how teams adopt data standards? If you enjoy shaping domain-level data quality, metadata and governance, this could be the perfect next step.

A bit about the job:

We're looking to recruit a number of Data Management Leads to lead adoption of enterprise data capabilities across broader or more complex domains within Aviva's Markets and Functions. You'll play a pivotal role in how domains implement Group Data standards - influencing prioritisation, shaping remediation plans and supporting colleagues to embed new ways of working. You will work closely with Product Owners, SMEs, architects and engineers to define key data attributes and Critical Data Elements (CDEs), drive remediation activity, monitor domain-level quality thresholds and ensure governance is effective.

This is a hands-on leadership role where you'll make a visible impact on data quality, risk management and AI/analytics readiness. You'll be leading the adoption of metadata, data quality, access management and classification across your domain, while reviewing data quality results, agreeing remediation priorities and validating improvements. You will shape definitions, thresholds and governance for key data attributes and critical data elements, and provide challenge, oversight and guidance to ensure alignment with Group Data standards.

In addition, you'll lead stakeholder workshops, prioritisation sessions and training, as well as mentor and support more junior Data Associates.

Skills and experience we're looking for:

  • Proven experience in data management, data quality, or data analytics roles, with exposure to financial services, insurance, or other highly regulated industries.
  • Awareness of the Data-as-a-Product approach and enterprise data lifecycle.
