A bit about the job: You'll play a key role in integrating Direct Line into Aviva's reporting environment. As Corporate Tax Advisor, Direct Line's results will move through the quarterly reporting process smoothly with your support, meeting the high standards our reporting teams depend on. A significant part of the role's remit is shaping how we embed Direct Line into UK General Insurance reporting. You'll work closely with colleagues across tax, finance, audit, risk and our wider integration workstreams - this collaboration will enable Aviva to maintain strong reporting, effective controls and confident delivery during a major period of change. You will also be responsible for preparing corporation tax returns for HMRC to a high standard, dealing with tax payments and group relief, ensuring that Direct Line meets its tax compliance obligations efficiently.
Skills and experience we're looking for:
- Experience in UK corporate tax including financial reporting.
- Recognised UK tax and/or accounting qualification (e.g. CTA, ATT, ACA or equivalent).
- Strong Excel skills and ability to analyse data and communicate clearly with non-specialists.
- Experience managing several deadlines with clear planning and organisation, attention to detail and accuracy.
- A collaborative approach, with strong teamwork and communication skills.

- Salary: circa £45,000 (depending on location, skills, experience, and qualifications)
