Assistant Accountant
Location: London based – 50% hybrid working
Salary: circa £50,000

A bit about the job:
You’ll join our Finance Operations team at Probitas, part of Aviva, working across Syndicate 1492 and its associated legal entities. We’re a growing Lloyd’s Syndicate with a strong focus on innovation and excellence. In this role, you’ll manage key finance processes like accounts payable, bank reconciliations, and treasury tasks. You’ll help ensure financial accuracy and support our transformation journey. It’s a hands‑on role where your attention to detail and teamwork will make a real impact.
Skills and experience we’re looking for
- Experience in accounts payable, bank reconciliations and payment processing
- Strong Excel and general ledger system skills (Sun GL & Q&A preferred)
- Experience in working in a Lloyd’s Syndicate with a complex group structure – working with multiple entities
- Great communication and time management skills with a high attention to detail
- Accounting qualification, or qualified by experience
