Actuarial Specialist

Actuarial Specialist - Salary c. £65,000 (depending on location, skills, experience, and qualifications)

A bit about the job

We're looking for an Actuarial Specialist to join our With-Profits team, supporting the ongoing governance, monitoring and development of Aviva's With-Profits business.

You'll be responsible for managing key regulatory and compliance assessments, enhancing methodologies and controls, and supporting bonus rate reviews through to approval by the With-Profits Actuary.

This is a varied role that offers exposure to a wide range of products, actuarial methodologies, and senior stakeholders.

You'll help ensure robust customer outcomes, effective risk management, and continued improvement of the control environment while balancing business-as-usual priorities with development initiatives.

Based in York or Bristol, you'll become an integral member of a highly skilled actuarial team.

Skills and experience we're looking for

  • Experience in an actuarial role, ideally within Life Insurance.
  • Understanding of With-Profits business would be advantageous.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with good MS Excel capability.
  • Ability to manage competing priorities and deliver against business objectives.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to engage effectively with a range of stakeholders.
