Actuarial Manager – Salary ranges from £60,000 – £70,000 This role is for someone who wants to have opportunity to influence the development of Finance by delivering and explaining key reporting metrics which drive our business decisions. The role is part of the actuarial team within UK Life Finance and the role holder will work alongside a team of actuarial and accounting specialists to deliver our financial results. Important stakeholders are commercial teams and the actuarial and Risk functions A bit about the job: You will support the team reporting to the Chief Finance Officer and Chief Accounting Officer in the understanding of our results and for Finance Business Partners and commercial teams to drive forward understanding of how financials impact the business to support decision making. Your responsibilities will be to review and challenge of reporting metrics including production and/or review of analysis of change in our profits as well as support the production and presentation of results packs and commentary, providing insight over reported results and supporting wider business initiatives Skills and experience we’re looking for: Strong understanding of financial reporting metrics including IFRS & Solvency Good knowledge and understanding of actuarial principles, formulae and methodology demonstrating credible judgment and advisory capability and recent financial reporting experience Able to work closely with others to ensure reporting processes are challenged to improve efficiency and maintain a strong control environment Good communicator and stakeholder manager, able to explain complex problems Good at dealing with change and implementing new initiatives into the business What you’ll get for this role: Our purpose – with you today, for a better tomorrow – is a promise we make to our colleagues too.
