You may already be handling high-value Employers' Liability, Public and Product Liability claims and be ready to take on broader responsibility within a highly skilled team.

A bit about the job:

Our Major & Complex Claims team manages some of Aviva's most significant liability claims, helping customers through challenging situations while protecting the long-term sustainability of our business. In this role, you'll take ownership of a portfolio of high-value and complex Employers' Liability, Public Liability and Product Liability claims, including Third Party Property Damage cases. You'll work closely with brokers, customers, legal partners, and internal stakeholders to deliver fair, timely, and cost-effective outcomes. You'll also play a key role in driving technical excellence, improving claims performance, and sharing your expertise across the wider team.

Skills and experience we're looking for:

  • Significant experience managing complex and high-value liability claims.
  • Strong technical knowledge of Employers' Liability, Public Liability and policy wording interpretation.
  • Excellent negotiation, communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Experience delivering robust indemnity spend management and customer-focused outcomes.
  • Experience of Third Party Property Damage claims would be beneficial but is not essential.

What you'll be doing:

  • Managing a portfolio of high-value and complex liability claims from investigation through to resolution.
  • Delivering fair, timely and commercially sound outcomes for customers and Aviva.
  • Working closely with solicitors, brokers, suppliers and internal stakeholders.
  • Sharing technical expertise to support capability and performance across the wider Claims function.
  • Contributing to continuous improvement initiatives and technical excellence within Major & Complex Claims.

What you’ll get for this role:

  • Starting salary circa £60,000 (depending on location, skills, experience, and qualifications).
  • Bonus opportunity – 12% of annual salary. Actual amount depends on your performance and Aviva’s.
  • Generous pension scheme - Aviva will contribute up to 14%, depending on what you put in.
  • 29 days holiday plus bank holidays, and you can choose to buy or sell up to 5 days.
  • Aviva-funded Private Medical Benefit to help you get expert support when you need it.
  • Make your money go further - Up to 40% discount on Aviva products, and other retailer discounts.
  • Up to £1,200 of free Aviva shares per year through our Matching Share Plan and share in the success of Aviva with our Save As You Earn scheme.
  • Brilliantly supportive policies including parental and carer’s leave.
  • Flexible benefits to suit you, including sustainability options such as cycle to work.
  • Make a difference, be part of our Aviva Communities and use your 3 paid volunteering days to help others.
  • We take your wellbeing seriously with lots of support and tools.
