Implementation Analyst, Investment Solutions

This is a great job for someone looking for a new challenge to join our Investment Solutions Implementation team. The successful candidate will support the development and oversight of the bespoke tools and processes we use to deliver tailored investment strategies for our clients.

A bit about the job:

We are a global asset manager that combines our insurance heritage, investment capabilities and sustainability expertise to deliver wealth and retirement outcomes that matter most to investors. As the asset management business of one of the UK\’s largest insurers, our experience makes us a natural partner for clients looking for consistent returns and enhanced capital preservation through market cycles.

We invest across public and private markets, with extensive fixed income capabilities, and we offer bespoke solutions that cater to individual client needs. The successful candidate will support the development and oversight of the bespoke tools and processes we use to deliver tailored investment strategies for our clients. They will work closely with the solutions strategists within the team, the investment management desks (for example, our buy-and-maintain credit and LDI teams), and our operational teams.

Where these tools are owned by our IT function, the implementation team provides technical oversight of the underlying calculations, takes ownership of any underlying models, and signs-off on change activity. The team also takes full responsibility for a limited number of tools, including their development.

Skills and experience we\’re looking for:

  • Experience of investment management and/or quantitative tool development.
  • Some experience of coding (e.g. Python, Excel VBA) and/or investment systems (Bloomberg).
  • An understanding of fixed income investment markets / yield curves.
  • Investment or similar professional qualifications would be beneficial.
  • Energetic and forward thinking with high ethical standards and truly professional approach.

What you\’ll get for this role:

  • Generous pension scheme – Aviva will contribute up to 14%, depending on what you put in
  • Eligibility for annual performance bonus
  • Family friendly parental and carer\’s leave
  • Generous holiday entitlement plus bank holidays with the option to buy/sell up to 5 additional days
  • Up to 40% discount for Aviva products
  • Aviva-funded Private Medical Benefit to help you get expert support when you need it
  • Brilliant flexible benefits including electric cars
  • Aviva Matching Share Plan and Save As You Earn scheme
  • 21 volunteering hours per year

In this role you\’ll be \’Certified\’ under the Financial Conduct Authority / Prudential Regulation Authority\’s Senior Managers and Certification Regime (SMCR). This means that we\’ll need to complete some regulatory background checks on you before you take up your role and we\’ll need to ask you some questions on an annual basis to make sure you remain \’fit and proper\’ and competent to carry out your role.

Aviva is for everyone:

We are inclusive and welcome everyone – we want applications from people with diverse backgrounds and experiences.

Excited but not sure you tick every box? Research tells us that women, particularly, feel this way. So, regardless of gender, why not apply. And if you\’re in a job share just apply as a pair.

We flex locations, hours and working patterns to suit our customers, business, and you.

Most of our people are smart working – spending around 60% of their time in our offices and 40% at home.

We interview every disabled applicant who meets the minimum criteria for the job. Once you\’ve applied, please send us an email stating that you have a disclosed disability, and we\’ll interview you.

We\’d love it if you could submit your application online. Please ensure that you have attached an up to date CV and/or updated your professional profile on Workday as we cannot submit your application without this.

We help our 19.5 million customers to save for the future and manage the risks of everyday life. To give these customers the best possible products and service we know we must make Aviva the most attractive choice for talented, entrepreneurial people with diverse backgrounds and an evolving range of expertise and insight.

So, we\’re passionate about helping our 23,000 people to do the best work of their lives, to enable them to make a positive difference to the lives of our customers.
