You'll be part of a team responsible for helping customers find relevant, trusted information and products wherever they search, ask questions, or explore online.

A bit about the job:

As an SEO Executive, you'll play a key role in supporting the delivery of SEO activity across Aviva's websites, helping to improve organic visibility and drive high-quality traffic. You'll conduct keyword, competitor and audience research to identify growth opportunities and uncover insights that inform content and optimisation strategies.

Working closely with the wider digital team (SEO Managers, Content teams, Paid Search, Social Media and wider Digital teams), you'll monitor organic search performance, analyse trends and produce regular reports that translate data into actionable recommendations. You'll also carry out technical SEO audits and checks, helping to identify, prioritise and support improvements that enhance site performance and search engine visibility. In addition, you'll support the optimisation of existing content and create SEO-focused content briefs, ensuring all content aligns with best practice and meets the needs of both customers and search engines.

Your role will include supporting keyword and audience research, identifying content opportunities, monitoring performance, carrying out SEO audits, and helping optimise content for search visibility. You'll also contribute to reporting and share insights with stakeholders to help inform business decisions. This is an excellent opportunity to build your SEO skills while gaining exposure to the rapidly evolving search landscape.

Skills and experience we’re looking for:

  • Some experience in SEO, either in-house, agency-side, or through relevant digital marketing experience.
  • Understanding of SEO fundamentals, including keyword research, on-page optimisation, technical SEO, and content optimisation.
  • A strong interest in digital trends and emerging technologies, with curiosity about how AI and changing search behaviours are shaping the future of online discovery.
  • Experience using SEO and analytics tools such as Google Search Console, Google Analytics, Ahrefs, SEMrush, Screaming Frog, or similar platforms.
  • Strong written, verbal and analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and identify opportunities for improvement.

What you’ll get for this role:

  • Starting salary circa £35,000 (depending on location, skills, experience, and qualifications).
  • Bonus opportunity – 8% of annual salary. Actual amount depends on your performance and Aviva’s.
  • Generous pension scheme - Aviva will contribute up to 14%, depending on what you put in.
  • 29 days holiday plus bank holidays, and you can choose to buy or sell up to 5 days.
  • Aviva-funded Private Medical Benefit to help you get expert support when you need it.
  • Make your money go further - Up to 40% discount on Aviva products, and other retailer discounts.
  • Up to £1,200 of free Aviva shares per year through our Matching Share Plan and share in the success of Aviva with our Save As You Earn scheme.
  • Brilliantly supportive policies including parental and carer’s leave.
  • Flexible benefits to suit you, including sustainability options such as cycle to work.
  • Make a difference, be part of our Aviva Communities and use your 3 paid volunteering days to help others.
  • We take your wellbeing seriously with lots of support and tools.
