Are you someone with significant experience in the Midlands & South Financial Lines & Cyber market? If so, we have just the role for you!
This is a great job for someone with strong communication/people skills to lead our Midlands & South specialist Financial Lines underwriting team under our new structure. Development of our book of business in this region, face to face with our partner brokers and clients is core to this role and so will be located in this region.
A bit about the job:
You will join the Regional Financial Lines team in Global Corporate and Specialty (GCS). The successful individual will work closely with the Underwriting Team Leader to support a team of underwriters charged with the growth of our Directors and Officers Liability, Commercial Crime, Cyber, Professional Indemnity, and Pension Trustees Liability books of business. Within this role, you will be responsible for underwriting renewals and new business in line with GCS strategy, and in line with agreed delegated underwriting authority limits. You will be confident when conversing with collaborators both internally and externally to deliver business objectives.
You will liaise with key collaborators from our broker panel, along with leading technical conversations with our clients and support the professional development of your team members, so strong communication skills and time management will be important to this role. This position will suit a motivated and professional individual who is keen to progress their career within a market leading insurer.
Skills and experience we’re looking for:
- In-depth knowledge of Directors and Officers Liability insurance, Commercial Crime & Pension Trustees Liability or Cyber is preferred. A strong knowledge of professional indemnity is advantageous
- Strong negotiation and feedback skills as you work to develop more junior members of staff
- Proficient in the structuring and placement of complex international insurance programs and bespoke wordings for niche and larger risks
- Be interested in business and the macro-economic environment
- Build and maintain positive relationships with brokers, agents, and clients to drive business growth
