We are recruiting for a Senior Product Development Manager to join our Product team. This is a great opportunity for someone who has strong, demonstrable industry product knowledge, allied with knowledge on product trends, industry innovations and regulatory landscapes.
A bit about the role:
- The role covers both new product development and the ongoing management of existing products across the Aviva Investors private markets product suite ensuring effective prioritisation of change activity.
- Acting as the first point of contact for productârelated queries, the role ensures the Private Markets range is championed across the business, particularly with sales and investment teams; remains fully compliant with evolving regulatory requirements; and is fit for purpose in meeting client and consultant needs.
- This includes accountability for product launches, proactive range management, oversight of product feasibility assessments with a strong focus on customer outcomes (including vulnerable customers), delivery of prospectus updates, and implementation of product changes such as share class launches, registrations, mergers, closures and restructures.
- The Senior Product Development Manager will work closely with Investment Specialists, Marketing, Sales and Market Intelligence teams to ensure products remain front of mind and commercially positioned, supporting sales efforts to commercialise existing products and ensuring key milestones such as performance track record or AUM growth are appropriately leveraged.
- The role also leads engagement with industry bodies and regulatory consultations, ensuring existing products remain compliant and mitigating reputational or regulatory risk.
Skills and experience weâre looking for:
- Track record of successfully designing and launching products as well as managing and culling products.
- Effective and up to date regulatory and product knowledge, ensuring that all product design / development is compliant and existing products remain fit for purpose and comply with evolving regulations.
- A confident networker and relationship builder â both external and internal.
- An accomplished communicator, comfortable in all environments â colleagues, team members, internal, external, global, media etc.
- Private markets experience would be advantageous.
