Salary: Circa £70,000

Location: Norwich, York, Bristol, Sheffield, Glasgow

Contract type: Fixed Term Contract until the end of 2026

This is a great job for someone who thrives on shaping positive, people‑centred change. If you love helping organisations evolve, bringing clarity to complex change, and creating workplaces where people can do their best work, this role will feel like home. Maybe you’ve led people or HR change before, delivered organisational design, or managed people transformation projects – and you’re ready for a fresh challenge. This is your chance to make a real impact across a major UK organisation.

A bit about the job

You’ll join our central People Change team – a collaborative, fast‑moving group that supports strategic change across Aviva.

Every day, you’ll lead meaningful people‑focused change, from organisational design and restructuring to cultural shifts, TUPE and M&A activity.

You’ll work closely with senior leaders and HR teams to design and deliver end‑to‑end change that lands well and lasts. Your work will shape how our people experience change, helping our organisation move forward with confidence.

Skills and experience we’re looking for

  • Strong experience delivering people change in complex or fast‑paced environments.
  • Proven background in leading organisational design end‑to‑end, both design and implementation.
  • Ability to influence, engage and build trust with senior stakeholders.
  • Confident leading change in ambiguous or evolving situations.
  • Strong leadership and project management skills, working independently or through others.

What you’ll get for this role

  • Starting salary: £70,000 (depending on skills, experience and qualifications).
  • Bonus opportunity – 12% of annual salary. Actual amount depends on your performance and Aviva’s.
  • Generous pension scheme – Aviva will contribute up to 14%, depending on what you put in.
  • 29 days holiday plus bank holidays, with the option to buy or sell up to 5 days.
  • Aviva‑funded Private Medical Benefit to help you get expert support when you need it.
  • Up to 40% discount on Aviva products, and other retailer discounts.
  • Up to £1,200 of free Aviva shares per year through our Matching Share Plan and Save As You Earn scheme.
  • Brilliantly supportive policies including parental and carer’s leave.
  • Flexible benefits to suit you, including sustainability options such as cycle to work.
  • Make a difference, be part of our Aviva Communities and use your 3 paid volunteering days to help others.
  • We take your wellbeing seriously with lots of support and tools.

  • We’re inclusive and welcome everyone – we want applications from all backgrounds and experiences.
  • Excited but not sure you tick every box? Even if you don’t, we’d still encourage you to apply.

  • We flex locations, hours and working patterns to suit our customers, business, and you. Most of our people are smart working – spending at least 50% of their time in our offices every week – combining the benefits of flexibility, with time together with colleagues.
