Responsibilities:
- Be the first point of contact for drivers who have broken down, providing expert roadside support.
- Diagnose vehicle faults and carry out minor repairs to get customers back on the road quickly.
- Complete practical tasks such as tyre repairs/changes, battery testing and replacement, and fuel assistance.
- Deliver clear explanations and reassurance, helping customers feel calm and supported in stressful situations.
- Use a fully equipped Green Flag vehicle and tools to safely resolve issues across your area.
Qualifications:
- A strong mechanical background with excellent diagnostic and problem‑solving skills.
- Full UK Category B driving licence and aged 21+ (for insurance purposes).
- NVQ Level 2 in light vehicle maintenance (or equivalent) preferred – or relevant hands‑on experience/apprenticeship.
- Up‑to‑date knowledge of repair techniques and a strong commitment to safe working practices.
- Confidence working independently, with a calm, friendly, and empathetic approach to customers.
Schedule and Hours:
Permanent, field‑based role. Work 40 hours across four days a week, with shifts between 7am‑8pm, Monday to Sunday. While work is planned within these hours, finish times may vary depending on the job at hand. Overtime is available, but completely optional.
