A bit about the job

This role exists to manage complex reinsurance claims and recoveries. You’ll join our Major & Complex Claims – Reinsurance Claims team, working with underwriters, finance, brokers and reinsurers. The team handles large and technical recoveries across multiple business lines. You’ll take ownership of reinsurance claims from notification through to collection and settlement. Your work helps reduce indemnity spend, improve outcomes, and strengthen business insight.

Skills and experience we’re looking for:

  • Strong experience handling reinsurance claims and recoveries, including treaty and facultative covers.
  • Understanding of legal and regulatory requirements in claims.
  • Experience managing large or complex reinsurance claims.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Ability to prioritise work and manage a varied caseload.
  • A relevant professional qualification, such as ACII, is preferable but not essential.
