This role supports the first line in delivering effective controls assurance, ensuring a strong and reliable control environment across the business. It involves partnering closely with stakeholders to embed robust risk and controls frameworks, including controls testing, risk assessment, and issue resolution. The role plays a key part in driving strategic project delivery, maintaining strong relationships, and providing both support and constructive challenge to senior stakeholders. Success is measured through high-quality, timely deliverables, continuous improvement, and the ability to foster a strong risk and controls culture.
Skills and experience we’re looking for:
- Qualified Chartered Accountant (ACA/ACCA) or equivalent (e.g. IMC), with strong knowledge of risks, controls and the ORCM framework
- Solid experience in financial services or investment management, with expertise in operational risk
- Excellent communication and influencing skills, with the ability to engage and challenge stakeholders at all levels
- Strong analytical and technical capabilities, including data handling, Excel, reporting and MI production
- Proven stakeholder management and project delivery skills, with a proactive, solutions-focused mindset and strong governance ethics
