Senior Operational Leader - Commercial Motor Claims

Salary: £70.000-£90.000
The Senior Operational Leader - Working in close partnership with the Head of Claims, this role will lead the operational performance of the Commercial Motor Claims function, driving improvements in customer outcomes, indemnity performance, efficiency and service delivery.
A bit about the job
Lead Aviva's Commercial Motor Claims operation, delivering exceptional customer, broker and commercial client outcomes.
Drive operational excellence through effective performance management, data-led decision making and continuous improvement.
Support strategic transformation initiatives that improve customer experience, operational efficiency and indemnity performance.
Collaborate with underwriting, finance, actuarial, risk and supplier partners to support profitable growth and market-leading claims outcomes.
Build strong relationships with brokers and key stakeholders, ensuring claims outcomes deliver against both customer and commercial objectives.
Lead, coach and develop high-performing leaders and claims professionals, creating a culture of accountability, innovation and continuous improvement.
Drive strong governance, compliance and risk management standards across the operation.
Identify opportunities to improve claims processes, supplier performance and end-to-end customer journeys.
Skills and experience we're looking for:
- Significant senior leadership experience within motor claims, commercial insurance or a complex operational environment, with a proven track record of improving customer, operational and financial performance.
- Strong strategic leadership capability, with experience delivering large-scale transformation, continuous improvement and change programmes.
- Demonstrable experience improving indemnity performance through effective claims management, supplier oversight and data-driven decision making.
- Excellent stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence senior leaders, build broker and supplier relationships, and drive cross-functional collaboration.
- Strong analytical and commercial acumen, using insight and performance data to identify opportunities and deliver measurable outcomes.
- Experience developing high-performing leaders and building capability across large teams.
- A customer-focused leadership style, with a passion for creating a culture of accountability, innovation and continuous improvement.
