This is a great job for someone who is a qualified or part-qualified actuary or accountant with strong financial risk experience gained within the insurance sector. You'll enjoy working in a fast-paced, collaborative environment where you can provide constructive challenge, influence key business decisions and deliver insightful risk reporting to senior stakeholders and Board-level committees.

A bit about the job: As part of Aviva Insurance Limited's Enterprise Risk team, you'll play a key role in helping the business navigate an evolving risk landscape. Working across all three lines of defence, you'll provide oversight, insight and challenge to support strategic and operational decision-making. You'll produce high-quality risk opinions and Board-level reporting, analyse risk trends and emerging issues, and contribute to assurance reviews across a broad range of financial and non-financial risks. Working closely with the Enterprise Risk Lead, Enterprise Risk Director and Chief Risk Officer, you'll help shape and enhance the Risk Management Framework while building strong relationships across the business.

Skills and experience we're looking for:

  • Qualified or part-qualified Actuary or Accountant with insurance sector experience.
  • Strong understanding of financial risk management and the risks, challenges and opportunities facing the insurance market.
  • Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex information and translate insights into clear, practical risk conclusions.
  • Experience producing and presenting high-quality Board, Committee or senior management reporting.
  • Strong stakeholder management and communication skills, with the ability to influence, provide constructive challenge and build credibility with senior leaders.

  • Salary: National Circa £80,000 : London Circa £100,000 (depending on location, skills, experience, and qualifications)
  • Bonus opportunity - 12% of annual salary, (actual amount depends on your performance and Aviva's.)
