Role Overview

We are seeking an experienced Business Analyst to support a Management Information (MI) Delivery project.

The successful candidate will work as part of a delivery team, engaging with business stakeholders, internal platform teams, developers, and the BI function to ensure reporting requirements are clearly defined, prioritised, traceable, and delivered in a way that provides meaningful business value.

The role requires a strong blend of stakeholder management, requirements gathering and data/reporting understanding.

Key Responsibilities

  • Engage with stakeholders across multiple business areas to understand reporting and MI requirements.
  • Facilitate workshops, meetings, and interviews to elicit and document business needs.
  • Work closely with internal platform teams and developers to understand source systems, data availability, and technical constraints.
  • Partner with BI developers and analysts to ensure reporting solutions meet business objectives and are intuitive, actionable, and fit for purpose.
  • Manage requirements lifecycle using Jira, ensuring end-to-end traceability from requirement through to delivery and testing.
  • Support backlog management, prioritisation, and tracking of key requirements and tasks.
  • Validate delivered MI solutions against agreed requirements and facilitate user acceptance testing (UAT).
  • Identify risks, dependencies, and opportunities for improvement throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Ensure appropriate governance, documentation, and change control practices are maintained.

Essential Experience & Skills

  • Proven experience as a Business Analyst on data, MI, reporting, BI, or analytics-focused projects.
  • Experience working with cross-functional teams including business stakeholders, platform teams, developers, and BI/reporting teams.
  • Strong working knowledge of Jira for requirements management, user story creation, backlog management, and traceability.
  • Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills, with the ability to engage at all levels of the organisation, and to facilitate multi-party stakeholder agreement in a complex data landscape.
  • Ability to challenge constructively and drive clarity where requirements are ambiguous.
