About the role
Aviva’s Personal Lines Business Intelligence (PLBI) team is growing, and we are looking for a Business Intelligence Developer to modernise our BI platforms, improve data quality, and support the move to a cloud‑based BI stack. The role combines hands‑on BI development with close stakeholder engagement, ensuring insight is easy to access, trusted, and adds real value.
Responsibilities
- Design, build, and enhance self‑serve dashboards using Qlik and Power BI.
- Explore, combine, and transform data in Snowflake using SQL to uncover insights.
- Work with stakeholders to understand needs, prioritise enhancements, and maximise value.
- Apply best practice in BI engineering, dashboard design, governance, and documentation.
- Support transition from legacy BI tools to modern, cloud‑based platforms.
Qualifications and experience
- Experience designing and delivering self‑serve BI dashboards (Qlik Sense preferred; other BI tools welcome).
- Solid SQL skills for data exploration and transformation.
- Strong communication skills and confidence working with stakeholders.
- Experience with data governance and data quality standards.
- Familiarity with Agile ways of working and version control tools such as Azure DevOps.
