A bit about the job
You’ll join our General Insurance Digital team within Customer & Marketing, leading a team of Product Owners responsible for delivering brilliant digital experiences across our web and app platforms. Our team supports multiple insurance products such as Motor, Home, Pet, and Breakdown across Aviva, Direct Line, and Churchill brands.
You’ll work closely with colleagues across Commercial, Pricing, Underwriting, Operations, Design, and Technology to identify customer challenges and deliver meaningful improvements. You’ll be accountable for defining product strategy, owning the roadmap and budget, and ensuring your products deliver strong customer, commercial, and operational outcomes.
Leading a team of Product Owners, you’ll drive the delivery of a varied portfolio of work, from optimisation and experimentation through to new proposition launches, platform modernisation, and end-to-end journey redesigns. You’ll use customer insight, analytics, and business performance data to identify opportunities, prioritise investment, and continuously improve customer experiences. As a senior leader within the function, you’ll build strong relationships with senior stakeholders, influence strategic decisions, and help shape the future of Aviva’s digital experiences.
Skills and experience we’re looking for:
- Significant experience leading digital products across web and app platforms, with ownership of product strategy, roadmaps, budgets, and delivery outcomes, ideally within Insurance, Financial Services, or another highly regulated environment.
- Proven ability to lead, coach, and develop Product Owners and cross-functional teams, working collaboratively across Product, Engineering, Commercial, and Operational functions to deliver customer and business value.
- Strong stakeholder management skills, with experience influencing senior leaders, aligning priorities across multiple business areas, and translating customer, commercial, and regulatory requirements.
- Excellent analytical and data-led decision-making capability, using customer insight, digital analytics, experimentation, behavioural data, and performance KPIs to identify opportunities, set priorities, and continuously improve customer experiences.
- A track record of delivering complex digital initiatives from concept to launch with knowledge of AI technologies and their application to improve colleague productivity and customer experiences.
