Role Overview
We’re looking for a driven and relationship‑focused Business Development Manager to lead growth across the UK IFA/Wholesale market on an 18‑month FTC basis, covering a period of family leave. The role focuses on taking ownership of the London region, building strong partnerships with adviser firms, and driving increased adoption of our multi‑asset investment solutions.
Key Responsibilities
- Own and deliver against regional new business and AUM growth targets through a clear, actionable business plan.
- Build, develop and maintain strong relationships with tier 1, 2 and 3 IFA/intermediary firms, identifying and converting new business opportunities.
- Embed investment solutions within client and fund selection processes to drive long‑term growth.
- Deliver high‑quality, consistent client engagement and reviews through meetings, calls, events, roadshows and written communication.
- Represent Aviva Investors at industry events, client functions and internal forums.
- Maintain a robust sales pipeline, ensuring accurate tracking of activity, opportunities and flows within CRM systems.
- Act as the voice of the client internally, sharing insights to shape proposition development and improve client outcomes.
- Collaborate cross‑functionally with Investments, Marketing, Client Services and Sales teams to deliver regional objectives.
- Contribute to team success by sharing best practice and supporting the development of Business Development Associates.
Qualifications
- Experience in business development, sales or relationship management within the wealth or asset‑management industry.
- Strong understanding of the IFA/Wholesale market and ability to identify and convert new business opportunities.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to present tailored, solutions‑led propositions to key decision‑makers.
- Proficiency in managing a sales pipeline and using CRM systems to track activity.
- Ability to work collaboratively across teams and drive results in a fast‑evolving market.
- Certifications or training relating to investment solutions is desirable.
Regulatory Requirements
Role will be under the Financial Conduct Authority / Prudential Regulation Authority’s Senior Managers and Certification Regime (SMCR). Relevant regulatory background checks will be completed prior to commencement.
