Motor Pricing sits at the centre of how we balance performance, customer outcomes and competitive positioning. At Aviva, we’re continuing to invest in how we build, deploy and optimise pricing at scale. This is a role where you’ll take ownership of pricing activity within a key area of the function, working across models, insight and trading decisions that directly impact performance.

A bit about the job

Our Motor Retail Pricing team brings together capabilities across Risk, Insights, Trading and Projects, giving you exposure to the full pricing lifecycle. As a Pricing Manager, you’ll lead pricing activity within one of these areas, driving delivery and influencing decisions that shape pricing performance. This is a hands-on role where you’ll combine technical expertise with commercial thinking to improve how pricing is developed and applied. You’ll work closely with stakeholders across Pricing, Data and the wider business, with the opportunity to support others and contribute to a strong, collaborative team.

What you’ll be doing

  • Leading pricing activity within Risk, Insights, Trading or Projects.
  • Delivering improvements in pricing models, data and processes to support performance.
  • Using tools such as Radar to support optimisation and delivery to market.
  • Translating data into clear insight to inform pricing and commercial decisions.
  • Working with stakeholders across Pricing, Data and the wider business to deliver pricing changes.
  • Supporting and mentoring others within the team.
  • Improving approaches, tools and ways of working across pricing.

Skills and experience we’re looking for

  • Strong experience in General Insurance pricing, ideally within Motor.
  • Excellent analytical capability, with experience using tools such as Radar, SQL and/or Python.
  • Experience developing pricing models, including multivariate techniques (e.g. Emblem or similar).
  • Ability to turn data into clear, commercially relevant insight.
  • Strong stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence decisions.
  • A proactive approach, balancing technical, commercial and customer considerations.

Why join Aviva?

This is an opportunity to work at the centre of Motor Pricing, where your work directly influences commercial outcomes and business performance. Our pricing team plays a unique role as the point where the entire value chain comes together — from data and modelling through to trading decisions — giving you real visibility and impact across the business.

You’ll be part of a team that:

  • understands how their work drives performance and genuinely makes a difference
  • works in a highly collaborative environment, bringing together multiple disciplines to solve complex challenges
  • has a strong and visible focus on career development, with regular and meaningful progression conversations
  • is encouraged to challenge the status quo, think differently and bring new ideas

We’re focused on building one of the strongest pricing teams in the market — setting high standards, investing in our people, and creating an environment where individuals can thrive.

What you’ll get for this role:

  • Competitive salary (depending on location, skills, experience, and qualifications)
  • Bonus opportunity - 8% of annual salary (actual amount depends on your performance and Aviva’s).
  • Generous pension scheme e.g. if you put in 8%, Aviva adds 14%
  • 29 days holiday plus bank holidays, and you can choose to buy or sell up to 5 days
  • Aviva-funded Private Medical Benefit to help you get expert support when you need it
  • Make your money go further - Up to 40% discount on Aviva products, and other retailer discounts
  • Up to £1,200 of free Aviva shares per year through our Matching Share Plan and share in the success of Aviva with our Save As You Earn scheme
  • Brilliantly supportive policies including parental and carer’s leave
  • Flexible benefits to suit you, including sustainability options such as cycle to work
  • Make a difference, be part of our Aviva Communities and use your 3 paid volunteering days to help others

We take your wellbeing seriously with lots of support and tools.

Aviva is for everyone. We’re inclusive and welcome everyone – we want applications from all backgrounds and experiences. Excited but not sure you tick every box?
