Motor Pricing sits at the centre of how we balance performance, customer outcomes and competitive positioning. This is a role where you’ll take ownership of pricing activity within a key area of the function, working across models, insight and trading decisions that directly impact performance.
A bit about the job
Our Motor Retail Pricing team brings together capabilities across Risk, Insights, Trading and Projects, giving you exposure to the full pricing lifecycle. As a Pricing Manager, you’ll lead pricing activity within one of these areas, driving delivery and influencing decisions that shape pricing performance. This is a hands‑on role where you’ll combine technical expertise with commercial thinking to improve how pricing is developed and applied. You’ll work closely with stakeholders across Pricing, Data and the wider business, with the opportunity to support others and contribute to a strong, collaborative team.
What you’ll be doing:
- Leading pricing activity within Risk, Insights, Trading or Projects.
- Delivering improvements in pricing models, data and processes to support performance.
- Using tools such as Radar to support optimisation and delivery to market.
- Translating data into clear insight to inform pricing and commercial decisions.
- Working with stakeholders across Pricing, Data and the wider business to deliver pricing changes.
- Supporting and mentoring others within the team.
- Improving approaches, tools and ways of working across pricing.
Skills and experience we’re looking for:
- Strong experience in General Insurance pricing, ideally within Motor.
- Excellent analytical capability, with experience using tools such as Radar, SQL and/or Python.
- Experience developing pricing models, including multivariate techniques (e.g. Emblem or similar).
- Ability to turn data into clear, commercially relevant insight.
- Strong stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence decisions.
- A proactive approach, balancing technical, commercial and customer considerations.
