Are you someone who is currently looking to join a growing British multinational insurance company? Then look no further we have just the role for you! We are looking for a Lead Construction Liability Underwriter to join our Underwriting department. Construction Liability is a key growth area for Aviva as it continues to build its Casualty book within the Global Corporate & Specialty business. We are seeking someone to lead our Construction Liability portfolio, bringing the vital skills and knowledge to this specialist line of business.
A bit about the job: We are looking for someone to drive and implement our Construction Liability strategy. To take our current book and look for ways to enhance our proposition and build the account, working closely with our market leading Aviva GCS CAR team. It is important the successful candidate is an excellent teammate, including support of management and the development of colleagues.
Skills and experience we’re looking for:
- Extensive experience underwriting Construction Liability Insurance both in the UK and ideally also overseas exposures.
- Ability to define, implement and oversee strategy along with excellent broker relationships.
- Team management experience is preferred but not essential.
- Good customer service and complaint handling skills including communication and negotiation skills.
- Validated understanding of the London market, the issues and dynamics, including reinsurance is preferred but not essential.
