A bit about the role:

The Investment Oversight Manager is responsible for the oversight of externally managed UK regulated funds, including Open‐Ended Investment Companies (OEICs) and Tax Transparent Funds (TTFs), ensuring they remain aligned with agreed investment objectives, guidelines and regulatory requirements. The role leads operational and investment oversight activities, including conducting comprehensive due diligence on external investment managers, covering trading lifecycles, systems and compliance practices. This includes organising and delivering end‐to‐end Operational Due Diligence visits, preparing detailed reports, and recommending actions to mitigate identified risks. The Investment Oversight Manager designs and maintains an effective operating model and annual governance framework for both internal and external fund managers, determining the content and approach to governance and oversight reporting. Acting as an internal Centre of Excellence, the role holder proactively decides when to engage with internal and external investment teams to understand performance trends, challenge appropriately, and communicate insights effectively, ensuring a strong risk and control environment is maintained throughout.

Skills and experience we’re looking for:

  • Experience of working to deadlines and managing workloads and stakeholders effectively as needed.
  • Reporting in a deadline orientated environment.
  • Asset management industry experience, with evidence of delivering MI and Performance analysis.
  • Understanding of operational workings within open ended investment vehicles.
  • Energetic and forward thinking with high ethical standards and a truly professional approach.
