This role exists to lead our Commercial Property Claims function through a period of transformation and deliver an improved end‑to‑end experience for customers, colleagues and our broker partners. You’ll join our GI Commercial Claims area, working closely with teams across Operations, Supply Chain, Risk, our Field network, and crucially, our Underwriting, Pricing and Distribution teams. You’ll work closely with our broker network, building relationships that are both strong and trusted.
You’ll shape and implement the long‑term operating model for commercial property claims, ensuring strong performance, effective budgeting and excellent service outcomes. A key part of this role will be strengthening relationships with brokers and ensuring alignment across the broader commercial business to support growth and deliver a consistent customer and broker experience. You will guide the delivery of a significant investment programme and create clear strategies to drive improvements across all property perils. Most importantly, you will lead and support around 124 colleagues, helping them deliver for our customers and broker partners every day.
Skills and experience we’re looking for:
- Strong leadership experience within commercial claims in an operational environment.
- Proven experience in managing and developing strong relationships with brokers and external partners.
- Excellent communication and relationship‑building skills, with confidence engaging internal and external partners including Underwriting, Pricing and Distribution.
- Commercial acumen and analytical capability to inform decisions and long‑term planning, with the ability to shape and deliver strategic change across multiple teams and stakeholders.
- Experience influencing performance, operational outcomes, and financial results.
