Our Health and Protection team has a fantastic opportunity for a Clinical Operations Advisor to join our supportive team of qualified healthcare professionals. You will play an integral role by providing knowledge, skills, and expertise to help the business meet the needs of our Private Medical Insurance customers.

A bit about the job: This role is key to our business as you will act as a key contact for clinical demands from customer-facing staff, working with claims consultants to ensure information is worded and presented in a way which best supports our customers and advisors. You will protect customers and staff by ensuring that clinical decisions relating to cover and treatment provision are in line with standard medical practice and UK health philosophy. Maintaining guidelines and a level of technical awareness, product knowledge, and building relationships with other business areas are equally important within this role as you will have an influence on internal functions to improve the end-to-end customer journey.

Skills and experience we’re looking for:

  • Hold a clinical qualification (e.g., nursing, physiotherapy, medicine) and currently registered with a professional regulatory body
  • Working at (or the equivalent of) NHS Band 6, acute
  • A great understanding of the UK health system, both NHS and private (desirable)
  • Strong experience and knowledge of working with acute conditions and comfortable applying clinical knowledge outside of the direct treatment of patients
  • Excellent teamwork skills and confident communication skills and not afraid to ask questions or challenge set processes if necessary

  • Salary: Circa £38,000 (depending on location, skills, experience, and qualifications).
  • Bonus opportunity: 8% of annual salary. Actual amount depends on your performance and Aviva’s.
