A bit about the job: As our Health Operations Lead, you'll play a central role in ensuring Aviva Health's platforms are secure, highly available, and constantly improving. You'll lead the end-to-end service management of all Health systems, working closely with technology teams, business colleagues, and external partners to keep services stable, safe, and customer-centred. You'll drive strategic planning, operational governance, essential maintenance, and incident management — ensuring that changes land safely and performance consistently meets our agreed standards. This role is pivotal to the smooth running of our Health proposition, and your work will directly impact both customer experience and business outcomes.
Responsibilities
- Lead the end-to-end service management of all Health systems, including monitoring, maintenance, incident response, change management, and continual service improvement.
- Collaborate with technology teams, business colleagues, and external partners to ensure services are stable, secure, and customer-centred.
- Drive strategic planning, operational governance, essential maintenance, and incident management to meet agreed performance standards.
- Influence and manage cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality health platform services at scale.
Qualifications and Skills
- Strong leadership experience, with the ability to motivate diverse internal and external teams and build trusted relationships with senior stakeholders.
- Deep expertise in Salesforce—particularly Health Cloud and Insurance Cloud—and experience supporting Salesforce platforms operationally.
- Proven ability to manage complex technology estates, including service resilience, risk management, incident recovery, and continuous improvement.
- Experience working in Agile/Scaled Agile environments, with the ability to influence cultural change and embed modern ways of working.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the confidence to make decisions under pressure and manage multiple priorities.
What you’ll get
- Salary: National £80,000 - £100,000 / London £90,000 - £120,000 (depending on location, skills, experience, and qualifications).
- Bonus opportunity - 12% of annual salary (actual amount depends on your performance and Aviva's).
- Generous pension scheme - Aviva will contribute up to 14%, depending on what you put in.
