Insurance Product and Customer Taxes Manager

Location: Bristol, Norwich or York based (50% hybrid working)

Salary: circa £52,500 (depending on location, skills, experience and qualifications)

This role is for someone who wants to grow their tax expertise and make a real impact on how we design and administer our pension and savings products. You will work closely with colleagues at all levels, solving problems and turning complex rules into clear guidance. The role requires knowledge of pensions and/or savings tax and a desire to broaden and deepen your skills in all Customer and Product Taxes.

Key Responsibilities

You’ll help us make sure our pensions and savings products are administered correctly in accordance with UK tax rules, and ensure our colleagues understand and can apply the various requirements. You will work with project teams as they create or update products, review product literature and liaise with HMRC when needed. The role supports Product, Operations, Policyholder Tax and LifeTech teams to deliver good outcomes for customers and the business.

Requirements

  • Understanding of customer and product taxes.
  • Experience in pensions tax, savings products or chargeable events; knowledge of inheritance tax and trusts is helpful.
  • Ability to explain complex topics in a simple, easily understandable way.
  • Ability to work with stakeholders at all levels and external industry bodies.
  • Strong attention to detail and sound judgement.
  • Previous experience within Insurance, Investments, Asset or Wealth Management areas.
