A bit about the job: In the Real Estate Long Income team, you’ll work alongside Fund Managers, Origination, Asset Management and Research teams, exploring exciting investment opportunities for our Long Income Funds, including the multi-award winning Lime Property Fund. Get ready to deliver innovative ESG-focused solutions that drive investments and align with our net zero goals. You'll deploy capital within strategic frameworks and business plans, creating impactful relationships with public sector entities, real estate agents, investors, valuers, lawyers, construction professionals, and managing agents.

In this dynamic role, you’ll source, manage, underwrite, and execute interesting investment transactions, financial structuring, and development funding aligned with strategies like reversionary long leases, income strips, and commercial ground rent structures. Become a key player by supporting analysts with financial modelling, evaluating the strategic fit and value of new investment opportunities, preparing crucial internal documentation for approvals, and leading comprehensive due diligence processes. Collaborate with Fund Managers, Investment Specialists, and Analyst teams to provide stellar reporting through regular updates and engaging client meetings.

Skills and experience required:

  • Experience in development funding through project finance or long lease property investment.
  • Understanding of long lease structures, accounting, and tax implications with experience in investment acquisition processes and compliance.
  • Relevant experience in asset management, analysis, research, or a similar role in the Real Estate industry.
  • Commitment to ESG agenda and its importance to investment performance along with appraisal, analytical, and financial modelling skills.
  • Degree in Real Estate, Economics, or Finance and Professional qualifications (RICS, CFA, IMC, Accountancy) preferred.

What you’ll get for this role:

  • Generous pension scheme - Aviva will contribute up to 14%, depending on what you put in.
  • Eligibility for annual performance bonus.
  • Family friendly parental and carer’s leave.
  • Generous holiday entitlement plus bank holidays with the option to buy/sell up to 5 additional days.
  • Up to 40% discount for Aviva products.
  • Brilliant flexible benefits including electric cars.
  • Aviva Matching Share Plan and Save As You Earn scheme.
  • 21 volunteering hours per year.

In this role you’ll be ‘Certified’ under the Financial Conduct Authority / Prudential Regulation Authority’s Senior Managers and Certification Regime (SMCR). This means that we’ll need to complete some regulatory background checks on you before you take up your role and we’ll need to ask you some questions on an annual basis to make sure you remain ‘fit and proper’ and competent to carry out your role. We’ll provide training on what holding a SMCR role means when you join us and annually thereafter.

We flex locations, hours and working patterns to suit our customers, business, and you. Most of our people are smart working – spending around 50% of their time in our offices every week - combining the benefits of flexibility, with time together with colleagues.
