About the Role: We are recruiting for an Asset Valuation & Technical Oversight Analyst to join our team. This is a great opportunity for someone who has strong working experience within a Pricing function within Asset Management. With a global remit spanning operations, transformation, and IT, the COO team ensures an exceptional client experience by optimising key processes, managing relationships, launching innovative products and onboarding clients seamlessly.

A bit about the role: As an Asset Valuation & Technical Oversight Analyst you will support and manage a wide range of internal and external stakeholders while ensuring the accuracy and validity of pricing data across all asset types, including OTC derivatives, within the IBoR and ABoR. You will provide robust oversight and governance of Aviva Investors’ outsourced middle-office function, critically assess existing processes to identify opportunities to enhance service quality, strengthen controls, reduce risk and improve efficiency. Acting as a subject-matter expert in asset pricing, you will contribute to both near-term and long-term change initiatives, defining, shaping and delivering effective solutions across BAU activity and project work. You will also maintain comprehensive and up-to-date process documentation, act as the operational liaison for bespoke transactions and offer technical insight into the design, development, maintenance and governance of valuation models. In addition, you will bring expert input to new valuation techniques that support innovative or bespoke trading activity.

Responsibilities:

  • Support and manage internal and external stakeholders to ensure accurate pricing data.
  • Provide oversight and governance of outsourced middle-office functions.
  • Critically assess processes to enhance service quality, strengthen controls, reduce risk and improve efficiency.
  • Act as a subject-matter expert in asset pricing for both BAU work and project initiatives.
  • Maintain process documentation and act as operational liaison for bespoke transactions.
  • Offer technical insight into valuation model design, development, maintenance and governance.
  • Contribute expert input to new valuation techniques for innovative or bespoke trading.

Qualifications:

  • Comfortable discussing complex valuation techniques with Fund Managers/Analysts.
  • Capable of understanding valuation techniques used in bespoke transactions.
  • Working knowledge of a range of OTC tradable instruments (preferred but not essential).
  • Ability to explain pricing models and valuation techniques to Senior Management and Executive members in a clear and concise manner.
  • IMC/CFA qualifications preferred but not essential.
