This role would suit someone with experience in actuarial work who enjoys learning quickly, working across a wide range of products and calculation methods, and is excited by the opportunity to manage and guide others. It’s well suited to someone ready for a step up into people management and increased accountability, while continuing to apply strong technical and governance skills.

A bit about the job:

This role exists to oversee the management and delivery of With-Profits rate reviews, helping ensure accurate, well-governed outcomes that support Aviva’s customers and business. You’ll join an actuarial team responsible for managing, reviewing and implementing With-Profits rates across a range of Life and Pension products. You’ll be accountable for ensuring robust processes, strong audit trails, and effective controls, while planning and delivering both short-term improvements and longer-term process updates. The role also involves close collaboration with internal and third-party stakeholders and obtaining formal sign-off from the With-Profits Actuary.

Skills and experience we’re looking for:

  • Proven experience in an actuarial role, preferably within a Life company
  • Knowledge of a range of Life and Pension products, including Conventional and Unitised products
  • Knowledge of With-Profits business
  • Advanced Excel skills
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to work collaboratively across teams

What you’ll get for this role:

  • Starting salary up to £68,000 (depending on location, skills, experience, and qualifications)
