Aviva Investors is seeking an experienced Consultant Relations professional to join our Institutional Distribution team. Reporting to the Head of Global Consultant Relations, you will be part of a dynamic Global Distribution team spanning the UK, Europe, North America, and Asia Pacific. In this role you will collaborate with Client Relationship Directors worldwide, build strategic partnerships with investment consultants, proactively develop and strengthen relationships with advisory and delegated consultants, manager researchers and C-suite contacts, secure new buy ratings, commercialise existing ratings across public markets, private markets and alternatives, and ensure our strategies and communications are effectively presented to consultant firms globally. You will also share consultant feedback and market intelligence internally to support continuous improvement of our products and business.
Responsibilities
- Build and nurture strategic partnerships with investment consultants worldwide.
- Develop and strengthen relationships with advisory and delegated consultants, manager researchers, and C-suite contacts.
- Secure new buy ratings and commercialise existing ratings across public markets, private markets, and alternatives.
- Collaborate closely with investment teams and cross-functional groups (Sustainable Investing, Market Intelligence, RFPs) to present strategies and communications to consultant firms.
- Share consultant feedback and market intelligence internally to support continuous product and business improvement.
Skills and Experience
- Experience working with leading UK and global consultants; established relationships with key research decision-makers and field consultants is preferred.
- Strong understanding of institutional investor needs (DB/DC pensions, insurers, charities, endowments, sovereigns).
- Knowledge of and ability to manage new business processes, including RFP oversight, pre-pitch work, pitch support and follow-up.
- Strong motivation and ability to work independently, set priorities, multitask and meet aggressive deadlines and fundraising goals.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills with the ability to articulate complex investment strategies to a consultant audience.

In this role you will be “Certified” under the Financial Conduct Authority / Prudential Regulation Authority’s Senior Managers and Certification Regime (SMCR).
