What You’ll Do
- Responsible for designing, deploying, and maintaining enterprise email systems to ensure reliability, security, and performance.
- Provides onsite support for the client’s IT and user teams, manages mail servers, troubleshoots email issues, and ensures compliance with corporate and legal standards.
- Exchange Online configuration, administration, and support.
- Exchange 2016/2019/SE configuration, administration, and support, including experience with upgrades to Exchange 2019/SE.
- Mimecast configuration, administration, and support.
- Valimail configuration, administration, and support.
- BYOD and Corporate Device Management via Intune, including MAM, App Protection, Apple Business Manager, and Android Enterprise.
- Identify and champion opportunities for automation.
What We’re Looking For
- Minimum 3–5 years’ experience in a Systems Engineer, Messaging Engineer, or M365 Administrator role.
- Proven hands‑on experience with Microsoft Exchange Online and Exchange Server 2016/2019/SE, including configuration, administration, troubleshooting, and version upgrades.
- Practical experience managing email security and continuity platforms.
- Working knowledge of DNS, SPF, DKIM, and DMARC configuration and management, ideally using tools such as Valimail.
- Strong understanding of Intune for BYOD and corporate device management.
- Demonstrated ability to identify, design, and implement automation to improve operational efficiency (e.g., via PowerShell, Logic Apps, or Power Automate).
- Relevant Microsoft certifications such as:
- Microsoft 365 Certified: Messaging Administrator Associate
- Microsoft Certified: Modern Desktop Administrator Associate
- Microsoft Certified: Intune Specialist (MD-102) (or legacy MD-101)
- SC-300 (Identity & Access)
- Mimecast or Proofpoint specialist cert
- ITIL v4 Foundation
- Microsoft 365 Certified: Enterprise Administrator Expert
- CompTIA Security+ or Microsoft Security Operations Analyst (SC-200)
Desirable Expertise
- Experience with Proofpoint Core Email DLP (Tessian).

AVI‑SPL reserves the right to alter work hours and work location as necessary. Work hours may vary based on client requirements and may include travel to various locations in support of the account. This position will generally work on customer sites and may deal with a construction site‑type of work environment.
