Overall Purpose of the Job
Undertaking financial reviews on behalf of clients including invoice approval and ledger reconciliations. The role involves a forensic analysis of costs, highlighting accounting and other errors, then negotiating with third parties to resolve the issues. The candidate will be working in a team to ensure all payments and demands are correct.
Responsibilities & Qualifications
- Establishing whether invoices are being demanded at the correct rate
- Approving invoices for payment
- Updating and amending databases
- Ensuring all payments made are taken into account by landlords/third parties
- Undertaking ledger reconciliations and other accounting tasks
- Calculating caps and apportionments
- Analysing data
- Identifying accounting errors and obtaining refunds where applicable
- Requesting information from third parties
- Preparation of accounting reports
- Undertaking annual financial forecasting as required
- Reporting to clients and attending meetings via telephone/Teams/face‑to‑face
- Other ad‑hoc tasks as needed
- Experience in accounts payable ledgers preferable
- Strong Excel skills
- Good knowledge of Outlook
- Prior experience with service charges is preferable, but not essential as full training will be provided
- Attention to detail and good analytical skills are essential
- Professional telephone and written manner
- Excellent written communication skills
- Ability to work well both in a team and individually
