Responsibilities:
- Enabling Clients of the Firm to achieve their property and development related objectives through the provision of accurate and robust advice and effective, efficient and timely engagement in the planning system.
- Working as part of an experienced and driven team to deliver outstanding advice on a wide range of development projects and planning issues.
- Providing first‑rate support to more senior members of the team on major, complex projects, as well as providing first rate advice and support to other parts of the business.
- Assisting with a broad mix of planning instructions involving:
- Diligent and timely research and analysis
- The provision of advice on the planning potential of land and property
- The provision of advice that assists in the formulation of development proposals which meet Client requirements
- The provision of advice that assesses and weighs the opportunities and risks presented by the planning system
- The preparation and submission of applications for planning permission, for the approval of Reserved Matters for the approval of details required by condition and for other consents including advertisement consent and heritage consents
- The preparation and submission of representations responding to development plan and similar consultations
- The preparation of Reports, Briefing Notes, Hearing Statements, Instructions to Counsel, Proofs of Evidence.
- Diligent and sensitive liaison with local planning authorities and stakeholders
- Regular and frequent reporting to the Client
- Adherence to agreed programmes for the delivery of project outputs and advice
- Regular and frequent assessment of risks which might impact upon meeting Client objectives
- A business‑like approach to invoicing and debt management.

- A good verbal communicator with excellent interpersonal skills
