Responsibilities
- Lead and manage complex property valuation projects across all major asset classes, including commercial, residential, industrial, and mixed‑use developments.
- Develop and maintain client relationships, acting as a senior point of contact for key clients including banks, property companies and developers.
- Provide strategic oversight and quality assurance across all valuation instructions to ensure compliance with RICS Valuation – Global Standards (Red Book) and client requirements.
- Drive business development activities, identifying opportunities for growth and expanding the firm’s valuation service offering.
- Integrate with the wider Avison Young network and other business lines such as Capital Markets and Agency teams.
- Oversee and mentor junior team members, supporting their professional development and ensuring high performance across the team.
- Prepare detailed reports and present valuation advice to clients.
- Monitor market trends and economic conditions, providing expert insight and commentary to internal stakeholders and clients.
- Ensure regulatory compliance and uphold professional standards across all aspects of valuation work.
- Contribute to strategic planning, team structuring, and fee forecasting within the valuation division.
A track record in preparing RICS Red Book Valuations for commercial lending (development, owner‑occupied and investment properties), corporate valuations and consultancy advice.
Technical Skills
- Proficiency in the Microsoft Office 365 software.
- Experience in using valuation software, ideally including KEL and Argus Developer; training in these applications can be provided where required.
