Responsibilities: Avison Young act for investors and occupiers in the office, industrial and retail markets, managing a cross section of commercial property types. We combine experience and knowledge with innovation and creativity, handling national and international portfolios for a wide variety of clients. We are looking for a surveyor who will contribute to our excellent record of looking after assets/portfolios for investors, property companies and institutions. Our aim is to achieve the highest quality service in all aspects of property management ranging from day to day activities at the properties to financial control and developing asset enhancing initiatives. You will work as part of our close knit central London team and alongside experienced senior colleagues who will coach and mentor you while you gain valuable experience to support your career development. Work with colleagues across the London Real Estate Management team to deliver a full suite of property management services to our clients and occupiers:

  • Tenant liaison and dealing with formal landlord and tenant matters such tenant applications to assign, sub-let or carry out alterations
  • Liaising with building, facilities and estate managers on day-to-day maintenance, repair and operational issues.
  • Setting and managing operating service charge budgets across a range of assets across London region, including high profile
  • Monitoring income and managing credit control alongside dedicated accounting personnel
  • Client reporting – assist in the production of monthly/quarterly reports as required and attendance at client meetings

Qualifications: MRICS qualified is preferred but not essential. If you are working towards qualification, you will be fully supported. Experienced in property management activities and in particular working with service charge budgets and being familiar with the process around this. Ability to identify and pursue asset management and other opportunities to assist the client team. Excellent communication skills and the ability to prioritise workloads. Experience of working as part of a team to get the job done and deliver results. Able to use own initiative. Experience of property management platforms including Yardi Voyager would be an advantage, but training will be given.
