About the Role
- Maintain lease details on the database accurately and timely.
- Update property service charge year‑end and budget information on the database.
- Support year‑end closure process.
- Client void management to ensure cashflow is maintained.
- Carry out quarterly reviews of the service charge account with surveyor/facilities manager.
- Produce monthly/quarterly client reporting in agreed formats in a timely and accurate manner; internal‑control reporting reviewed by line manager before submission.
- Ensure all rents, service charges and insurance recharges are billed accurately well in advance of due date to support debt collection.
- Attend finance/account meetings both on and off site with your line manager.
- Raise ad‑hoc and one‑off charges for the recovery of costs as appropriate.
- Timely recovery of utility costs and full reconciliations of the utility recharge account.
- Liaise with credit control/supervisor to assist in the recovery of all charges.
- Monitor Client Bank Rec and AY Bank Rec to ensure prompt clearance of any items.
- Liaise with cashiers to resolve queries.
- Assist REM helpdesk with any queries.
- Ensure all KPI’s and delivery deadlines are met.
- Manage insufficient cash positions.
- Experience of working in a property accounting environment.
- Knowledge of basic accounting principles (double entry, accruals and prepayments).
- Experience of working in a busy, fast‑paced finance function.
- Ability to work as part of a team and contribute positively to overall performance.
- Ability to manage and prioritise accordingly, and deal with high volumes of work.
- Flexibility and commitment to completing the task in hand.
- Excellent interpersonal and presentation skills.
- Attention to detail to submit reports and reconciliations for review.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work with a variety of stakeholders.
- Advanced Microsoft knowledge.
- Positive attitude.
- Self‑motivated to maintain output and able to work from home at times.
