Responsibilities
- Manage the purchase invoice process for non‑recoverable expenditure, including coding and workflow approvals and ensuring timely payment of invoices on the weekly BACS run.
- Assist in the monthly funding request process including reconciliation of the cash position.
- Process ad‑hoc payment requests.
- Review bank reconciliations ensuring that the reconciling items are dealt with correctly on a monthly basis.
- Raise and issue ad‑hoc tenant recharge invoices.
- Prepare VAT and CIS return workings and liaise with the relevant tax authorities.
- Assist in the preparation of quarterly management accounts, including accruals and prepayments.
- Undertake balance sheet reconciliations including accounts payable, accounts receivable, VAT and tax liabilities.
- Assist in the preparation of bank compliance/debt covenant reports including the pay‑over of net rents.
- Assist in the year‑end audit process providing supporting information and liaising with external auditors.
- Deliver additional ad‑hoc reports as required by the client and internal stakeholders.
- Work with key internal stakeholders such as accounts payable, credit control and cashiers to ensure smooth day‑to‑day operations on the portfolio.
- Attend client finance meetings with senior members of the team.
Qualifications
- Part ACCA/CIMA qualified or experience of working in a busy and fast‑paced finance function.
- Excellent attention to detail.
- Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills.
- Ability to work well under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Ability to deal with high volumes of work and prioritise accordingly.
- Confidence to deal with all levels of seniority.
