Overview

Avison Young’s Environmental Planning Team is active across the UK and works on complex and large‑scale projects across multiple sectors.

Responsibilities

  • Full management and delivery of projects;
  • Quality assurance and sign‑off of deliverables (Associate Director level);
  • Full client liaison and client management/care;
  • Full project financial management;
  • Business development, marketing and networking;
  • Team management and mentoring;
  • Product development and innovation;
  • Operational management;
  • Contribution to business strategy.

Qualifications

  • Relevant university bachelor's degree or master's;
  • Membership to a relevant professional organisation (preferably IEMA) and/or Chartered Environmentalist;
  • Excellent understanding of environmental topic areas and UK planning system;
  • Experience implementing EIA Regulations at all stages of the EIA process;
  • Experience coordinating multi‑disciplinary teams;
  • Experience working with and managing various project stakeholders;
  • Project management experience, including financial monitoring and management of projects;
  • Excellent written skills, authoring EIA screening reports, scoping reports, environmental statements, and other deliverables (Associate Director level expected to sign off and QA);
  • Clear and confident communication skills;
  • Pro‑active and collaborative team approach, encouraging inclusion and motivation among peers;
  • Ability to think innovatively to enhance outcomes for clients.
