- Monday to Friday: Basic Pay Rate 1.5
- Saturdays, Sundays & Bank Holidays: Basic Pay Rate 2
Role Overview:
We are recruiting Airside Drivers to work within a secure airport environment. The role involves operating a variety of vehicles airside, ensuring strict adherence to aviation safety, security regulations, and operational procedures. This is a fast-paced, safety-critical role requiring reliability, professionalism, and attention to detail.
Minimum Licence & Experience Requirements:
- HGV Class 2 / Category C licence - Experience driving vehicles over 18 tonnes, OR
- Bus / Coach Driver - Minimum 2 years experience, ideally including double-deck vehicles, OR
- 7.5 Tonne Driver - Minimum 2 years experience
Desirable Experience:
- Previous airside driving experience, particularly on vehicles over 18 tonnes
- Experience working in regulated or high-security environments
Skills & Personal Attributes:
- Good level of physical fitness essential
- Ability to understand and follow instructions
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- High sense of ownership and responsibility
- Ability to work under pressure and meet operational deadlines
- Strong commitment to Health & Safety compliance at all times
Security & Compliance Requirements:
Due to the nature of this role, candidates must be able to provide:
- HMRC 5-year employment history (official PAYE/employment record)
- Full 5-year address history
- Right to Work in the UK
- DBS check
- Satisfactory references covering any employment gaps
HMRC employment history must clearly show all employment and any gaps over the last 5 years. This is a mandatory requirement for airside pass approval.
