About the role: We’re looking for a highly organised, detail-driven Digital Content Manager to support the migration of our Avis and Budget EMEA websites onto a new global AEM Cloud platform. This hands‑on role is central to ensuring the accuracy, quality and consistency of all content throughout the migration process and beyond. Working closely with project managers, content strategists, SEO and localisation teams, developers and QA specialists, you will help deliver a seamless transition from our existing platforms to the new global web experience. This role sits within the central marketing team and reports directly to the Head of Content – International.
Key Responsibilities
- Ensure content is accurately moved, formatted and optimised within the new templates and component structures in AEM.
- Create, edit and update pages using AEM best practices.
- Raise defects/enhancements on Jira.
- Brief design and content‑creation teams on new site imagery and copy needs.
- Manage digital assets (images, documents, videos) within the AEM DAM (Digital Asset Management) system.
- Conduct thorough reviews of migrated content to ensure it meets quality, branding, accessibility and localisation standards.
- Identify and escalate any migration issues, broken links, formatting errors or inconsistencies.
- Work closely with cross‑functional teams (IT, marketing, localisation, SEO) to align on content structure, tagging, localisation and publishing workflows.
- Document migration processes, issues and resolutions to support project governance and future best practices.
- Work with the wider team to help solve any site issues relating to non‑technical content – be it ecommerce‑journey content, fleet imagery, CMS defects, locations, ancillaries or campaign collateral.
- Run CMS training sessions with local market users.
- Update expired multi‑market ‘kill, move or keep’ content audits, and work with content management colleagues to amend site structures in line with recommendations from UX and SEO experts.
Skills, Experience & Knowledge
- 5+ years’ experience managing multilingual, multi‑channel content in a high‑volume B2C digital environment.
- AEM experience.
- Strong experience with digital content management and website operations.
- Solid understanding of SEO principles and the role of content in digital marketing.
- Excellent written and verbal English communication skills.
- Proven collaborative approach with flexibility in delivery.
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to prioritise competing workloads.
- Experience supporting multi‑market content strategies and governance processes.
- Experience contributing to product launch projects.
- Ecommerce copy writing ability.
- Experience training international users on CMS platforms.
- Technical experience with enterprise CMS solutions.
- Magnolia CMS experience.
- Multilingual skills: English plus one or more European languages.
