Role Purpose
We are seeking a proactive and experienced Health & Safety Manager to lead and develop workplace health and safety practices in line with legal requirements. This role will focus on creating a strong safety culture across the organisation, including developing and implementing risk assessments such as General Risk Assessments, Fire Risk Assessments, Workshop Risk Assessments, and DSEAR. You will play a key role in building trust and confidence with the Operations Team while influencing positive change across a multidisciplinary workforce.

Key Responsibilities
- Develop and deliver Health & Safety training across the organisation
- Create and implement policies to promote a strong safety culture
- Evaluate practices, procedures, and facilities to ensure compliance and minimise risk
- Review Station Safety inspections and recommend improvements
- Investigate incidents, identify root causes, and implement corrective actions
- Provide practical, cost‑effective solutions for risk prevention and improvement
- Influence organisational change through data‑driven insights and risk assessments
- Develop and implement Health & Safety strategies aligned with business objectives
- Report on Health & Safety performance and statistics to senior leadership
- Lead internal Health & Safety communications
- Collaborate with the Global Health & Safety Team on initiatives and projects
Essential Experience & Skills
- Working towards or completed a recognised Health & Safety qualification (e.g. NEBOSH Certificate)
- Membership of IOSH (Institution of Occupational Safety and Health)
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong ability to identify business risks and recommend practical improvements
- Knowledge of SECR (Streamlined Energy and Carbon Reporting) and ESOS (Energy Saving Opportunity Scheme)
- Confident engaging with stakeholders at all levels, including senior management
- Ability to lead and contribute to global team projects
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to prioritise workload effectively
- Willingness to travel within the UK
