Location: Bracknell HQ – minimum 3 days in the office.
Overview: The role sits within the Commercial Finance team ABS (Bracknell) reporting directly to the Head of Commercial Finance. It supports the Sales organization in optimising and managing the cost of sale generated from B2B and Leisure accounts which generate over €2B revenue per annum. The role is instrumental in championing and driving improvement in reporting, decision support and cost control, providing information, insight and recommendations. Avis Budget Group is implementing a data-driven approach to business insight with this role involved in the adoption of Tableau for reporting.
Responsibilities – Overrides:
- Forecast the Overrides for the full year, liaising with the Commercial teams to inform the yearly plan or forecast updates.
- Calculate monthly override accruals for EMEA based on actual and projected trading.
- Manage the payment calculation process at the end of each contract period, ensuring all contract terms are adhered to.
- Run the overrides financial governance payment process liaising with the shared service centre (receivables and payables).
- Manage the recharge process to the operating units and licensee partners.
- Support the annual French sub‑licensee override process audit.
- Own the override calculation and recharge process transition to Tableau.
- Examine existing processes to identify remediations to eliminate inconsistencies and errors, and find efficiencies (engaging with the BI team to utilise best practice).
Other Responsibilities – Corporate Account Audits:
- Support customer billing audits, providing analysis and financial governance to Commercial to support customer requests for auditing the billing of their accounts.
- Provide feedback to the business on process issues identified.
Skills / Background:
- Degree qualified or relevant experience.
- Studying toward a financial qualification.
- Experience dealing with large data sets.
- Experience using BI Software (Tableau/PowerBI) and Excel.
- Experience in problem solving, planning and prioritisation.
