Finance Manager – Finance Transformation
Position located in London.
The Finance Manager leads transformation initiatives, improving finance operations, reporting, controls, audits, and stakeholder collaboration across IAG Loyalty and its partner organisations.
Responsibilities
- Own financial reporting, controls, and month‑end activities for a defined business area, ensuring accurate, timely, high‑quality information.
- Lead and coordinate internal and external audit activities, providing robust evidence and building audit relationships.
- Develop, implement, and maintain balance sheet reconciliations, journals, and financial reporting outputs with strong control frameworks.
- Collaborate with Commercial Finance, IAG Group operating companies, Air Partners and other stakeholders to resolve reporting issues and support business changes.
- Assess accounting implications of new commercial propositions, preparing clear accounting papers and recommendations.
- Lead finance transformation initiatives: improve processes, controls and SAP configuration to reduce manual effort and increase efficiency.
- Prepare cash‑flow forecasts to support foreign‑exchange hedging activity.
- Drive continuous improvement of quarterly reporting processes, maintaining high standards of accuracy and governance.
- Mentor and support colleagues within the Loyalty Financial Reporting team, fostering a culture of continuous improvement.
Benefits & Working Arrangements
Hybrid working model: two days in the London office, remainder remote. Possible travel to other IAG Loyalty or partner locations as required.
Qualifications
- Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA or CIMA) with relevant post‑qualified experience.
- Proven track record of improving finance processes and controls, delivering scalable, efficient finance functions.
- Strong financial reporting and control skills – reconciliations, journals, month‑end close, balance‑sheet management.
- Experience managing internal and external audits, including evidence preparation and auditor relationship management.
- Ability to balance technical accounting judgment with commercial pragmatism.
- Excellent communication skills and confidence building relationships across finance and broader business stakeholders.
- Capacity to absorb complex information quickly, take ownership of an area with confidence, and thrive in a fast‑paced, evolving environment.
